Forza is Microsoft’s racing-sim baby, with Xbox users hooked on the game since the first of the series launched in 2005.
Since then, we have reached the 8th iteration of the Motorsport series, and have seen the introduction of an entirely new series, Forza Horizon.
With each of these games launching with various editions, let’s take a look at what we can expect in this latest instalment.

Forza Motorsport Editions
Let's start by looking at the last release, Forza Motorsport 7.
FM7 launched with three editions: Standard, Deluxe and Ultimate. This means we can expect a similar trio of editions this time around.
Standard Edition
The Standard Edition of FM7 simply came with a bonus for pre-ordering the game.

These were different depending on the store from which the game was purchased but were centred around in-game content such as cars or custom driver gear.
We can expect a similar pre-order bonus but nothing else from the Standard Editon of Forza Motorsport.
Price
You can expect the Standard Edition of Forza Motorsport to come in around £59.99.
Deluxe Edition
The Deluxe Edition for FM7 came with the same pre-order bonus, the Standard Edition of the game, and a number of exciting in-game content additions.

These included the Day One Car Pack, The Fate of the Furious Car Pack, and a VIP Membership.
A similar package, depending on any broader tie-ins and season pass content, is very likely for the Deluxe Edition this time.
Price
You can expect any Deluxe Edition of Forza Motorsport to set you back at least £69.99. Turn 10 hasn't confirmed this, but £69.99 would match the price of the Forza Horizon 5 Deluxe Edition on Xbox Series X|S.
Ultimate Edition
Home to all of the previously named features, this was a physical-only copy of Forza Motorsport 7 that came with a steelbook, early access to the game (4 days prior to the full release), and monthly drops via the Car Pass.

This was £79.99 at launch, with the reams of added content justifying the hefty price tag. However, the Forza Horizion 5 Premium Edition did not get a physical release, so this could also be the case for the top-tier Forza Motorsport.
With the Xbox Series S being a disc-less console we can expect to see the Ultimate Edition opened up to digital purchases too. Any early access is likely to be kept to the Ultimate Edition too.
Price
As the most expensive version, the Forza Motorsport Ultimate Edition will likely cost around £84.99 based on the price of the Forza Horizon 5 Premium Edition
Collectibles?
It has been a while since the last big Forza release, and since then plenty of games have done a "Collectors Edition" which includes physical items like bags or figurines.

There are certainly fans out there that would love a special edition Forza Motorsport Porsche 911 or Ferrari 458.
Platforms
Forza Motorsport is launching on PC and Xbox Series X|S. It will also be available on Game Pass day one.
Release date
There is no firm release date for Forza Motorsport yet, sadly.
The previous Spring 2023 release window has changed to sometime in 2023. With no confirmed release window, it's possible that Forza Motorsport may not arrive until the second half of 2023.
