After a long wait, Test Drive Unlimited Solar Crown finally has a confirmed September release date. Featuring over 100 cars to collect and customize, a sprawling 1:1 recreation of Hong Kong Island to explore, and unique social and lifestyle elements, Solar Crown marks the return of the TDU after a long 13-year hiatus.
With only a few months until launch, preorders for Nacon's online racing MMO are now live. Like many new game releases, Test Drive Unlimited Solar Crown will launch with multiple editions. With different perks and prices, this can be overwhelming.
Here’s a breakdown of every Test Drive Unlimited Solar Crown edition you can preorder.
Standard Edition
The Standard Edition includes the base game plus the 2006 Ford GT as a bonus car. At £49.99 / $59.99, it’s not only the cheapest edition but also cheaper than other triple-A racing titles like Forza Horizon and F1.
Silver Streets Edition
The Silver Streets Edition is effectively a Deluxe Edition with a few extra perks. In addition to the base game and 2006 Ford GT, the Silver Streets Edition includes the Silver Streets Pack, beta access, plus two days of early access. This edition costs £64.99 / $79.99.
Silver Sharps Edition
The Silver Sharps Edition includes the same perks as the Silver Streets Edition but replaces the Silver Streets Pack with the Silver Sharps Pack. Presumably, these packs will contain unique cosmetics.
Like the Silver Streets Edition, the Silver Sharps Edition costs £64.99 / $79.99 and includes two days of early access.
Gold Edition
Next is the Gold Edition, the penultimate version of Test Drive Unlimited Solar Crown for die-hard fans of the franchise. At £74.99 / $89.99, this is an expensive edition.
Paying a premium gives you access to the 2006 Ford GT, Silver Streets Pack, Silver Sharps Pack, Solar Content Pack, and VIP Beta Access.
The main perk, however, is seven days early access, allowing you to get a head start in the Solar Crown competition.
Collector's Edition
We thought that these four would be the only ones available, but a fifth has recently been confirmed. The final and most complete version of TDU Solar Crown is without a doubt the Collector's Edition.
This is available for PC, PS5 and Series X|S and costs €249.99, which is a significant increase on even the Gold Edition.
You do get a lot more bang for your buck though, with the following extras all included:

Release date
Test Drive Unlimited Solar Crown will be released on September 12, 2024, for PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.
As mentioned, those who preorder the Silver Streets or Sharps Edition will get two days of early access from September 10, while Gold Edition players can start exploring Hong Kong Island a week early from September 5.
