When Will F1 24 be Released?

With 2024 well underway, the biggest question of the year is upon us: when will we be able to play F1 24?

With the last four entries in the F1 series were released on different dates, fans have been speculating about when F1 24 will arrive. However, we now have an official F1 24 release date.

F1 24's official reveal trailer has landed, and with it comes the highly-anticipated news regarding the game's Career Mode. Players can now 'Be one of the 20', filling the racing boots of one of the existing drivers on the grid, a first for the series.

As well as this, a new reputation system within your team will help determine the hierarchy. Success will see your status rise, while failure could result in your teammate taking the recognition instead. This could ultimately help seal your fate, so it's important to do well each time you hit the track.

Players who don't want to take on the role of an existing F1 driver can stick to creating their own driver from scratch, or instead begin as an up-and-coming F2 driver or even as one of the legendary F1 Icons.

Double racing

The latest entry in the hugely successful F1 series, F1 24 will be the third game in the series to be published by EA under its EA Sports banner. With lots of exciting new features expected, everyone is asking when exactly we’ll be able to hit the track in our favourite F1 cars.

Despite being released on different dates, F1 2020, F1 2021, F1 22, and F1 23all have one thing in common: they were all released on the same weekend as an F1 race.

F1 2020 launched on 10 July 2020, coinciding with that year’s Spielberg Grand Prix, the repeat of the Austrian Grand Prix. F1 2021 and F1 22 were released on 16 July 2021 and 1 July 2022 respectively, both arriving concurrently with that year’s British Grand Prix. F1 23 hit the market worldwide on 16 June 2023, the same weekend as the Canadian Grand Prix.

Despite our best predictions, we missed the mark by quite some distance when it came to calculating F1 24's release date.

When will F1 24 be released?

With official confirmation of the game, we now know when F1 24 will be launching.

The game will hit the market on 31 May 2024, with players who preorder the Champions Edition getting three days early access. This will give them access to the paddock from 28 May.

Preorder bonuses also include exclusive 2024 liveries, along with VIP Podium Pass rewards. These are dependent on which edition of F1 24 players preorder.
