Where is the Gran Turismo 7 February Update?

Gran Turismo 7 February 2024 Update

Gran Turismo 7 kicked off 2024 with update 1.42 adding a selection of new cars, races, and Scape locations in January. With February nearly over, attention is turning to GT7’s next monthly update, expected to be update 1.43.

But when can we expect the next GT7 update to arrive and what can we expect? Here’s everything we know about Gran Turismo 7 update 1.43 so far.

What to expect in Gran Turismo 7 update 1.43

At the very least, we can expect GT7’s February update to give players new cars to drive. Most updates contain around three to five new cars, with the January update adding the Bulgari Aluminium Vision Gran Turismo, Genesis X Gran Berlinetta Vision Gran Turismo Concept, and 2018 Suzuki Jimny XC. No cars haven’t been confirmed for update 1.43 yet.

Last month, Sony Honda Mobility confirmed the Afeela Prototype shown at CES 2024 will be added to GT7. While a release date is not yet confirmed, it probably won’t be one of the new cars in update 1.43 as it’s set to arrive in GT7 later this year.

Series creator Kazunori Yamauchi usually teases GT7 update cars on X, formerly Twitter, in an image showing their silhouettes on the weekend before an update.

As well as new cars, update 1.43 will likely bring new World Circuit races and GT Café Menus to complete in the single-player campaign along with new Scape locations for virtual car photographers.

We’re also hoping for new circuits to race on after Spec II added the Lake Louise snow circuit. New original tracks are always welcome, but GT7 is still missing classic circuits from past games like Apricot Hill, Midfield Raceway, and Autumn Ring.

Gran Turismo Update 1.43 estimated release date

While Polyphony took a break in December following November’s Spec II update, GT7’s content update updates are usually released every month.

Polyphony hasn’t announced a release date for Gran Turismo 7 update 1.43 yet. However, it will most likely arrive in late February going on past updates. GT7 updates normally arrive on the last Thursday of the month.

That means update 1.43 will likely be released on Thursday 29 February, but Polyphony hasn’t confirmed this year. 2024 is a leap year, so GT7's next update could drop on the last day of the month. If GT7's next update is coming next week, we're expecting Kazunori to post a teaser this weekend. If not, then GT7's next update may not arrive until March.

However, a GT7 isn’t guaranteed to get a February update. Kazunori Yamauchi has gone on record saying that GT7’s updates won’t necessarily be monthly.

With Gran Turismo 8 confirmed to be in development, Polyphony will likely prioritise the next game in the series, so GT7 updates may be less frequent in 2024.

We’ll update this page as soon as Polyphony announces any news on Gran Turismo 7 update 1.43 so check back soon.
