We've also found five things you may have missed in update 1.19.
B-Spec could be returning in Gran Turismo 7
B-Spec mode hasn't featured in a Gran Turismo game since GT6. That could change, however, as B-Spec mode has been found hiding in GT7's game code when running in debug mode. Video footage even shows B-Spec mode working in GT7 - albeit with limited functionality.

Update 1.16 fixes force feedback
After fan backlash, update 1.16 fixes the downgraded force feedback introduced in update 1.15.
Force feedback downgraded in update 1.15
Update 1.15 added some welcome changes and new content, including three new cars, changes to Sport mode, and new GR.1 events for the single-player campaign. But there's another change that's causing controversy.

As part of the update, Polyphony has downgraded force feedback for selected Thrustmaster and Fanatec wheels. This change was made after Polyphony found that "excessively strong force feedback vibrations" could injure players.
Update 1.15 adds 3 new cars, new Cafe Menus, GR.1 events and more
Update 1.15 has landed in Gran Turismo 7. This huge free update adds three new cars to GT7: the Toyota GR010 Hybrid 2021, Suzuki Vision Gran Turismo, and Roadster Shop Rampage.
After we complained about the lack of content for longtime players, the update also adds new GT Cafe Menu Books and race events including a new GR.1 race series. Sadly, the update also removes the Tomahawk VGT credit grind exploit.
As there's a lot to unpack in the patch notes, we've also found five things you may have missed in update 1.15.
Update 1.13 adds 3 new cars and track layout
Gran Turismo 7 update 1.13 has arrived. April's free update adds three new cars including the Subaru BRZ GT300, 2021 Subaru BRZ S, and 1991 Suzuki Cappuccino (EA11R). Also included in the update is a new 24-hour track layout for Spa- Francorchamps along with new events and physics improvements.

Update 1.11 increases credit rewards
Following fan backlash, update 1.11 increases credit rewards for single-player events and Sport Mode in GT7, making it easier to buy the game's most expensive cars.
Polyphony promises changes
After the remarkable backlash from credit reductions in the most recent update, Kazunori Yamauchi has released a statement addressing the future of GT7.
We have a full breakdown of the sweeping changes that are coming in the next month or so to the game. The number of cars available at the Used Cars and Legend Cars dealerships is also increased.
Update 1.09
A new update arrives on 25 March.
You can see the full patch notes here.
Credit rewards reduced in update 1.08
It's been a difficult few days for GT7 players. Update 1.07 caused the servers to go offline for over 30 hours. Because the single-player campaign requires an online connection, this rendered GT7 almost entirely unplayable. This was fixed in update 1.08. However, the latest update also brings some controversial changes to the economy.

With the latest update, credit rewards in some single-player events are significantly reduced. This means it takes a lot longer to earn enough credits to buy the most expensive cars in Gran Turismo 7. Some players are resorting to desperate measures to farm credits, even creating an exploit that lets you earn credits without playing the game.
Thankfully, there are still other ways to farm credits in Gran Turismo 7. Check out our latest guide on how to earn credits fast in GT7.
Gran Turismo 7 review
Unsure if GT7 is for you? Not sure what to make of the Metacritic review-bombing? Check out our review.
You can read our review here, or watch it below!
Getting started in GT7
When you open up GT7 you'll be handed 20,000 credits and tasked with buying a car.
The best starting car isn't easy to spot, but grabbing it is important. You'll want to take your starter car through a lot of races.

That means tuning your car will also be important.
Be sure to check out our beginner's guide for a full breakdown of what to do when you start Gran Turismo 7!
Unlocking Sport Mode
If you just want to play online and start grinding up your Driver Rating you still have to get through some of the campaign.
To unlock Sport Mode you need to complete a few of the GT Cafe menus. You'll also want to build your garage up before you really dive into online play!
Dynamic weather
One of Gran Turismo 7's biggest selling points is a truly dynamic weather cycle. This includes drying lines on the track, realistic cloud formations for where you are in the world, and even realistic night skies.
Unfortunately this is limited to the Japanese circuits and major European venues like Nurburgring, Red Bull Ring, and Spa.

However it is an excellent feature, and one that means having a set of wet tyres on hand and patience with your inputs will be vital.

Building your credits
Gran Turismo 7 brings back the long grind for credits, which means being efficient with your time is key. This is even more important following the controversial Update 1.07 which crushed some rewards and payouts.
If you aren't working through a GT Cafe menu book you want to be doing races with big prizes. We've identified the best credit grind option for early on in the game, so be sure to jump on it if you want to buy those fancy cars!
Upgrading your car
It wouldn't be much of a Gran Turismo game without the ability to upgrade your car! There are more than 60 performance upgrades for each car, and plenty of cosmetic options too.

To make your car faster, you'll need to head to the Tuning Shop which unlocks early in your journey through Gran Turismo 7 and lets you tune your cars.
There are a couple of important upgrades you should do on any car you are thinking about seriously racing.
Engine swaps confirmed
After a lot of speculation, we can finally confirm that engine swaps are in Gran Turismo 7. This has been a long-requested feature in Gran Turismo games.
During State of Play, a Volkswagen Beetle was shown with a Porsche 911 GT3 engine to demonstrate the tuning options in GT7. This left many wondering if engine swaps are in GT7, but Polyphony never confirmed this. Well, it turns out they are - but it's not as easy as you might think.
Find out how to do engine swaps in Gran Turismo 7 in our guide.
