Gran Turismo 7 received a substantial update this week. Update 1.20 adds three new cars including the Porsche Cayman GT4 and Pontiac GTO 'The Judge. But the real highlight is Ayrton Senna’s McLaren MP4/4 that dominated the 1988 F1 season.

Crossplay comes to F1 22

Crossplay multiplayer is a feature many fans have been asking for in Codemasters’ F1 games. f1 22 was supposed to launch with crossplay in June, but this feature was delayed. Two months later, F1 22 crossplay has finally arrived.

Crossplay was added to F1 22 this week, allowing players to race together across multiple platforms, with support for PC, PlayStation, and Xbox. Just don’t forget to enable F1 22 crossplay first.

Series 2 of the F1 22 Podium Pass also launched with liveries inspired by Lando Norris.

More Need for Speed 2022 leaks

Fans were hoping Need for Speed 2022 would finally be revealed at Gamescom 2022, but the game was not shown. It’s a frustrating situation exasperated by EA’s lack of communication. However, some revealing leaks made up for the lack of official information as the NFS 2022 rumours keep mounting up.

A Reddit user who claims to know an EA employee claims that NFS 2022 is aimed at a younger audience and will launch without several classic features. We also got a closer look at NFS 2022’s rumoured cartoon effects in a leaked gameplay video.

Sadly, it looks as if the release date has slipped. According to VentureBeat’s Jeff Grubb, NFS 2022 has reportedly been delayed from November to December.

If the NFS 2022 rumours are true, it will go head-to-head with CarX Street on PC because the open-world racer has also been delayed until December.

If you haven’t ever played Project CARS or Project CARS 2 yet, time is running out because both games are being delisted soon.

WRC Generations was shown off at Gamescom with new gameplay videos featuring professional rally drivers tackling Sweden and Japan. Sticking with off-road racers, the first Dakar Desert Rally gameplay was revealed in a new trailer showcasing the gameplay modes, vehicle classes, and a vast open road full of treacherous terrain.

Destructive racer Trail Out also now has a release date on Steam and the first NASCAR Rivals gameplay was revealed in a new trailer.

Retro racing game fans rejoice: OutRun, OutRunners, and Virtua Racer will be playable on the Sega Mega Drive Mini 2 when it launches in October.
