Is F1 24 crossplay?

F1 24 has been announced and its release date is getting closer all the time.

It's no surprise that crossplay will be in F1 24 from day one, as F1 22 received crossplay via a post-launch update and F1 23 had crossplay from day one too.

This makes perfect sense, as F1 24 will be available on multiple different systems of different console families and generations.

The PlayStation 4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S and Windows PC will all share the same F1 24 online multiplayer servers. This will really come in handy with the new online "Fan Zone" feature in F1 World.

Crossplay likely won't be enabled by default in F1 24, but turning it on should be very simple like in F1 23.

Crossplay in F1 24

Also known as cross-platform play, crossplay allows gamers to play in the same online multiplayer lobbies as their friends despite playing on different systems.

You can, for example, play on PlayStation and race your friend online on Xbox. F1 23 had full crossplay, so those on PlayStation, PC and Xbox could all race against each other regardless of the platform.

This crossplay extended to all online game modes in F1 23, and we expect it to be the same again for F1 24.

F1 24 Trailer & Release date

F1 24 will launch worldwide earlier than usual on 31 May on PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and PC on 31 May 2024.
