After months of rumours and leaks, the covers have finally come off The Crew Motorfest. Looking a lot like Forza Horizon, Ubisoft's open-world racer is taking us to Hawaii. But what is The Crew Motorfest release date?

When will The Crew Motorfest be released?

The Crew Motorfest's release date was unknown for a while. All we knew was that The Crew Motorfest was slated for a 2023 release. This would put it head-to-head with Test Drive Unlimited Solar Crown, also slated for this year.

Ubisoft drip-fed new screenshots, videos and details over the following months. Now though, we have a definitive release date! The Crew Motorfest will launch on 14th September.

Those who pre-order either the Gold or Ultimate Editions of The Crew Motorfest will get three days of early access from 11th September as well.

With Test Drive Unlimited Solar Crown and Forza Motorsport likely delayed until later this year, this will be a busy time for racing game fans.

However, players can experience The Crew Motorfest early as part of Ubisoft’s Insider Program.

Selected players can get behind the wheel of The Crew Motorfest before launch by joining Ubisoft's Insider Program. Across several test phases, Ubisoft will gather feedback from the community to improve the final game.

Limited to 2,000 players, the first test phase starts on 1 February for PC only. After that, more players will be invited to test The Crew Motorfest with the Insider Program expanding to consoles.

Platforms

Pre-orders are not live yet, but The Crew Motorfest is launching on most current systems including PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. Reaching a larger player base will give Motorfest a major advantage over Forza Horizon.

While Need for Speed Unbound and Forza Motorsport skipped last-gen formats, Motorfest is also coming to PS4 and Xbox One.

This makes cross-play support a possibility, but Ubisoft hasn’t confirmed if everyone can play together across all formats yet.
