This week saw the release of F1 23 plus new updates on some of this year’s most hotly anticipated racing games such as Forza Motorsport and The Crew Motorfest.

F1 23 review

F1 23 is finally here. This year’s F1 game attempts to reinvigorate the annual franchise with improved handling, a new Ultimate Team-style F1 World mode replacing F1 Life and the return of the Braking Point story mode following the journeys of Konnersport Racings’ Aiden Jackson and Devon Butler.

Forza Motorsport career mode and release date revealed

There’s been a lot of mystery surrounding Forza Motorsport. Turn 10’s Forza reboot was announced three years ago, but we’re finally getting closer to the final release.

Forza Motorsport took the spotlight at the Xbox Games Showcase, where we finally found out the final release date.

Soon after, June’s Forza Monthly stream offered a deep dive into Forza Motorsport’s career mode. With an emphasis on earning upgrades through progression and bonding with your car, Forza Motorsport’s new career mode could be groundbreaking.

The Crew Motorfest hands-on preview

When The Crew Motorfest was announced earlier this year, we were sceptical. Its Forza Horizon inspiration couldn't be more obvious – the announcement trailer looked like a Forza Horizon expansion.

But having now played The Crew Motorfest, we’re confident that Ubisoft’s open-world racer will be a formidable rival to Forza Horizon.

During the Ubisoft Forward conference, Ivory Tower revealed how the new Playlists will shake up the formula as well as the release date.
